So it’s 2018. A new year and a new start for some. I’m hoping it’ll be a new start for me, so I’m starting a tech blog. Now, I already have a (book) review blog that I don’t update as much as I should, but this will be my main blog for 2018 that I focus on. I don’t want to stretch myself too much by splitting my focus into both areas. I don’t know if I’ll have enough content to update this blog weekly, but I’ll try my best.
Here’s a bit of a roadmap for the next few weeks. I’ll focus on slightly more complicated topics like React/Redux/React-Redux-Forms etc. before moving into simpler topics like how Git works and what I think is a good branching strategy. I’ll also touch on some C# and hopefully talk about what leadership means to me in between. Please don’t take this as to what I’m exactly going to do. It depends on how much time and energy I have as to the write-up.
Do you want to know about me? Well, I’m a software engineer from a small city called Auckland (in New Zealand). I’ve worked as a software engineer (or developer) for 7/8 years now in the .NET (C#) space and even before I started working, I had my own PHP software (SUMR – a CMS) and a forum software that I was developing with a guy from the US (IPTBB). I’ve worked in Auckland, Munich, and Bangkok. I like that my job can take me anywhere in the world. It’s a privilege that I know not everyone has.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge over the coming weeks and months.
